Study of the isomeric ratios in photonuclear reactions of natural platinum induced by end-point bremsstrahlung energies in the giant dipole resonance region

Abstract
We have determined the isomeric ratios of isomeric pairs 194m,g Ir and 197m,g Pt produced in 195 Pt( γ , p ) 194 Ir and 198 Pt( γ , n ) 197 Pt photonuclear reactions in the giant dipole resonance (GDR) region by the activation method. The results were analyzed, discussed and compared with the similar data from literature to examine the role of excitation energy and difference in the isomeric and ground state spins. The isomeric ratios of 194m,g Ir and 197m,g Pt from the present work, namely from 19 to 23 MeV for 194m,g Ir and from 18 to 24 MeV for 197m,g Pt are the first time measurements.
