Nucleon-density distributions in exotic light nuclei and elastic isobar scattering

Angular distributions in the elastic scattering of exotic light nuclei Li-7, Be-7, He-8, Li-8, B-8, Li-11, Be-11, B-11, and C-11 by C-14 target nuclei are calculated. Optical potentials are constructed on the basis of the folding model and densities calculated by the density-functional method for all colliding nuclei. The effect of matter distribution in nuclei on the differential cross sections for the above scattering processes is studied. A rainbow-type behavior of the angular distributions is revealed.
