Semimicroscopic analysis of total cross sections for reactions involving exotic light nuclei

The total cross sections for B-8 interactions with target nuclei C-12 and Si-28 and for Li-11 interactions with target nuclei C-12 are calculated for low projectile energies. Optical potentials are constructed on basis of the folding model by using the full M3Y effective nucleon-nucleon interaction and densities obtained by the density-functional method for all colliding nuclei. Available experimental data are satisfactorily described for all systems under consideration. The effect of the absorption-potential parameters on the total cross sections for the above interactions is investigated.
