Fern constituents: Adiantum cuneatum .1. Three new triterpenoids, glaucanol B acetate, 7 beta,25-epoxyfern-8-ene and 25-norfern-7-en-10 beta-yl formate

Sixteen triterpenoids including three new compounds, viz. glaucanol B acetate (1), 7 beta,25-epoxyfern-8-ene (2), and 25-norfern-7-en-10 beta-yl formate (3) were isolated from the fresh leaves of Adiantum curreatum. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral data.
