Synthesis and photoluminescence property of nanostructured sol-gel antimony tin oxide film on silica glass

For nanostrcutured Sb-doped SnO2 film, photoluminescence (PL) bands for different charged states of oxygen vacancies appeared at ∼420, ∼485, ∼530nm while a broad shoulder below 400nm appeared for the free excitons generated from two different types of nanoclusters; schematic transition states have been proposed to elucidate the absorption and emission behaviors.
