Abstract
A follow-up study assessing client perceptions of factors which influence the effectiveness of short-term divorce adjustment groups is described. A self-selected sample of 65 participants from twenty-one groups spanning seven years completed an author designed questionnaire. The findings are reviewed from the perspective of the supportive, therapeutic, and after-group adjustment value of the group experience. The strengths and limitations of a retrospective study design are discussed.
