Abstract
•We present an improved method to reconstruct a muon lateral distribution function.•Its performance is assessed from 0.25 to 4EeV and zenith angles up to 45°.•The detector resolution is enhanced in most simulated cases.•More events are selected to measure the composition of cosmic rays.•The new reconstruction will allow for a better primary mass classification.
