Effect of Reline Material on Mechanical Properties of Relined Heat-cured Denture Base Resin.

Mechanical properties (ultimate transverse strength, transverse elastic modulus, transverse deflection) of heat-cured denture base resin relined with four different types of denture reline materials were tested. As a result, the ultimate transverse strength of the denture base material relined with the four denture reline materials deteriorated compared with that of the denture base material itself. In general, the mechanical properties of the relined denture base follow the mechanical properties of the bulk denture reline material.
