Abstract
The Intermountain Risk Score (IMRS) is an inexpensive gender-specific risk profile composed from age, the complete blood count (CBC), and the basic metabolic profile (BMP). IMRS has exceptional survival prediction in multiple patient populations. No risk score exists in end-stage heart failure patients for predicting post-heart transplantation (HTx) survival. This study tested if HTx patients with an elevated pre-HTx IMRS have lower survival.
