Objectives: An increase of anti-Gala(1.3)Gal IgM and IgG antibody titers above the baseline represents a major cause for acute xenograft rejection. Soluble Gala(1.3)Gal oligosaccharides are different effective in binding anti-Gala(1.3)Gal IgM and IgG. We tested GAS914, a polymeric form of a typ II Gala(1.3)Gal trisaccharide using an orthotopic pig-to-baboon heart transplantation model.
