Background: MRI during neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) to monitor response is effective in triple negative and HER2-positive breast cancer, but is less accurate in ER-positive/HER2-negative disease. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relevance of breast cancer subtype for 18F-FDG PET/CT markers for monitoring of therapy response during NAC.
