摘要
The thermal model is often used to characterize the hadronic final state of relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We investigate the bias of incomplete momentum space information on the extraction of thermal parameters. We use RQMD(v2.3) to generate full momentum space multiplicities. Then we apply cuts in rapidity and use measured subsets of stable particles for our investigation. We find that using the full set of stable particles decreases considerable the quality of the thermal fit compared to fits using subsets of particles typically measured in experiments. The particles responsible for making the fit worse are the multi-strange baryons and anti-baryons. Also rapidity cuts on particle multiplicities lead to worse fits.
