摘要
•The nanorods of CuO were synthesized by a hydrothermal route without any surfactant.•X-ray diffraction showed monoclinic structure with space group C2/c.•The nanorods show relatively high adsorption capacity for the removal of Pb(II).•The adsorption kinetics could be fitted well by the pseudo-second-order model.•The equilibrium data can be fitted well using the Langmuir isotherm model
