摘要

•A hardly achieved Al10O3N8 based phosphor was prepared successfully by some special route for the first time.•It is UV and VUV luminescence properties were researched carefully.•Si–N substitution for Al–O bond was adopted to increase the luminescence intensity and the mechanism was discussed.
