Prenatal exposures to perfluoroalkyl acids and serum lipids at ages 7 and 15 in females

•An adverse fetal environment may permanently change bodily functions.•We determined associations of prenatal exposures to PFOS and PFOA with serum lipids.•Serum lipids were measured at age 7 and again at age 15 in females.•Study associations were estimated using non-linear statistical approaches.•At lower exposure levels, prenatal PFOA exposure may alter lipid metabolism.
