Oxy-trifluoromethylation of alkenes and its application to the synthesis of β-trifluoromethylstyrene derivatives

Trifluoromethylation of α- and β-methylstyrenes and dienes was achieved by using Togni's reagent with Cu catalyst. These reactions were successfully applied for β-trifluoromethylstyrene synthesis.
