Disease-Associated Dna Methylationin Inflammatory Bowel Disease Subtypes Crohn'S Disease And Ulcerative Colitis
Inflammatory Bowel Diseases(2011)
摘要
Purpose of the StudyAberrant DNA methylation has been observed in IBD and IBD-associated colon rectal cancer patients. The two major forms of IBD include Crohn's disease (CD), which occurs in both the intestine and colon, and ulcerative colitis (UC) that affects only the colon, Considering the disease heterogeneity, we aimed to identify disease subtype- and affected tissue-specific DNA methylation using terminal ileum (TI) tissues from CD patients and colon tissues from UC patients.
