摘要

Using an immunomics-based approach to analyze the autoantibody reactivity in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, we previously (Somers et al. 2008. J. Immunol.) identified Sperm-associated Antigen 16 (SPAG16) as a potential autoantigenic target in MS. Since the function and disease-contributing role of SPAG16 in MS are unknown, we aimed to further characterize SPAG16 as a candidate MS autoantigen.
