Failure to observe the superconducting fluctuation in Tl 2 Ba 2 CaCu 2 O 8 single crystal

Abstract
The thermopower of Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 single crystals has been measured from 80 K up to approximately 400 K using AC method. The giant anomaly just above superconducting transition observed for YBa2Cu3O7 sintered samples by Howson et al (1990) has not been confirmed in the present sample. The results of present AC method are roughly consistent with our previous DC measurement.
