Objectives: Although leukocyte activation has been linked to atherogenesis, there is little in vivo evidence in humans for its role in the progression of atherosclerosis. We evaluated the predictive value of leukocyte activation markers for future cardiovascular events in patients scheduled to undergo coronary angiography (CAG).
