Validation of EPR/Alanine dosimetry for dose delivery verifications - Application to French Tomotherapy centers

Introduction: The objective of this study is to compare the dose delivered by Tomotherapy unit to the absorbed dose to water determined in reference conditions of cobalt-60 beam of the Laboratoire National Henri Becquerel (LNHB) using EPR/Alanine dosimetry. To do that, one has to account for the differences between the Tomotherapy irradiation conditions (François et al., 2009) and those governing the establishment of references by international protocols.
