摘要
Introduction: Electron beam therapy is usually conducted by the use of applicators which deliver square or circular fields. These applicators are placed about 5 cm from the patient to minimize electron scattering. Irregular fields are obtained by placing cut-outs at the end of the applicator or on the patient. This study was set up to design and optimize a dual electron multileaf collimator that is capable of delivering both irregular and regular fields in electron therapy without the use of applicators and cut-outs.
