Adverse events following percutaneous and surgical coronary revascularisation: Analysis of non-MACE outcomes in the Stent or Surgery (SoS) Trial

•Previous analyses of MACE adverse events after coronary revascularisation show consistent mean benefit in favour of surgery.•This is the first quantification of non-MACE adverse events from a randomised controlled trial of coronary revascularisation.•We provide new insights into the type and timescale of adverse events after surgical and percutaneous revascularisation.•These data can help clinicians and patients comprehensively understand the relative merits of each type of revascularisation.
