摘要
Mechanical hysteroscopic morcellators offer advantages over electrosurgical resectoscopes, including decreased risk of uterine perforation and lower fluid deficit. However, mechanical hysteroscopic resection lacks monopolar energy to control bleeding, therefore Pitressin® may be invaluable for hemostasis. The reported initial operative hysteroscopy success rate is 65-100%. A second procedure is required in 5-15% of patients, often due to cessation of the initial procedure in which bleeding resulted in poor visualization, higher fluid deficit, or uterine perforation.
