Abstract
A new 3D Cd(II) coordination polymer, [Cd-3(HBPTC)(2)-(4,4'-bpy)(2)], was prepared by the reaction of cadmium nitrate with H4BPTC (1,1'-biphenyl-2,4,4',6-tetracarboxylic acid) in the presence of 4,4'-bpy (4,4'-bipyridine). This compound displays an amazing (4,10)-connected topological net. The fluorescent property of the compound was also studied, and a blue shift on the emission band was observed in comparison with the free H4BPTC ligand.
