•Poly-ɛ-caprolactone film surfaces have been modified through aminolysis and immobilization of COL-1 and OPN.•Surface characterization showed successful immobilization.•In vitro studies showed human adipogenic messenchymal stem cells (hADMSC) proliferate on modified surfaces which is beneficial for bone tissue engineering.
