Abstract
Two-dimensional electrophoretic analysis was conducted on three allied species of Athalia sawflies. The analysis revealed that A. infunata and A. japonica are the most distantly related species, whereas A. rosae ruficornis and A. infumata are the most closely related. This relationship was consistent with the classification based on morphological and ecological data and previously conducted allozyme analyses.
