Staying on the subject of questioning, Senator Dodd’s legislation has the gall of creating new proposals via this organization before it was even created. This includes actually forbidding arbitration from being a part of court cases involving financial institutions. A legal right which was created (let’s face it) to save tax dollars spent on the needs of the courtroom, has been barred by the Government if it involves a financial company. With a continuing recession, job loss and economic crisis going on and continually hitting homes, bringing any financial business to court will have to be placed in the sector of luxury instead of American right. How can anyone afford a lawyer if they cannot even afford food, clothes or a roof? This in a sense not only ties our hands in just getting our voice heard when we fall victim to financial firms but also additionally lines the pockets of a major member to the DNC’s fan base: Trial Lawyers.
