Preparation and Evaluation of Electrocatalysts to Generate Oxygen Bubbles for the Electroflotation Process
ECS Transactions(2008)
摘要
Oxygen evolution electrocatalysts were prepared and evaluated by accelerated life tests under extremely oxidation conditions. Experiments were done using chronopotentiometry for each electrode in H2SO4 1 M applying 1Acm-2. The aim of this test was to compare the operating life of different electrodes related to the stability and predict electrocatalyst loss during electrolysis. Results showed that IrO2-SnO2-Sb2O3 was the more durable electrode. In addition, superficial characterization for catalytic electrodes with Scanning Electrón Microscope SEM and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy EDS o EDX, were performed before and after the accelerated test.
