Effectiveness of optimization updating the control parameters of advanced SVRs

This paper discusses the novel voltage control method in the distribution system using the electronic devices. In order to stabilize the power flow of the system, voltage in the system is traditionally controlled by devices such as load ratio control transformers (LRTs) installed in the distribution substation and step voltage regulators (SVRs) installed in the distribution line according to their fixed control parameters. In this paper, the authors verify the optimal interval of updating the control parameters of advanced SVRs using the determining method of control parameters.
