Abstract
PM2.5 particulate pollution is becoming an important risk factor for the health of urban residents in China. In order to quantitatively evaluate the health effects and economic losses of atmospheric particulate matter pollution on residents, this study uses exposure-response relationship based on the epidemiological studies to estimate the death and incidence caused by PM2.5 in 2013; on this basis, combined with the economic value of unit health effect, the corresponding economic losses are calculated. The results show that China's current PM2.5 particulate pollution has caused obvious harm and economic loss to the residents' health.
