Endoscopic Endonasal Odontoidectomy: Technical Note about 4 Cases

Different approaches that allow access to the odontoid process have been described over the years. The transoral approach evolved to be the most commonly used. The endoscopic transnasal approach for resection of the odontoid process has been introduced recently, but experience is limited to few groups so far. Similar to the transoral approach, the endoscopic endonasal approach provides a direct route to the surgical target, but it seems related to less morbidity.
