Abstract
An experimental trial of six weeks was undertaken on 60 broiler chicks from day old to six weeks of age divided into three groups, each group having twenty birds. Control (T1) group was fed standard feed and T2 and T3 groups were supplemented with 0.05 and 0.1 per cent of Liv-52 powder per kg feed respectively. The haemoglobin concentration and total leucocyte count was found to be significantly (P<0.05) increased in treatment group as compared to control. There was significant (P<0.05) increase in packed cell volume, total erythrocyte count, mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration and mean corpuscular volume in the Liv-52 supplemented group than control.
