摘要
Systems with integrated activities on farms provide positive effects on production, agricultural areas, and especially, for farmers. In this sense, we highlight the benefits of integrated crop-livestock-forest in the state of Minas Gerais, where much of farmers practice monoculture and depends on the production versatility for maintenance activities in the fields. In the article below, we discuss aspects related to the integrated production of annual crops, such as corn, soy, beans, rice, sorghum and millet, with forest, and forage species, aiming at the production of grain, maintaining the supply of food for cattle, for a longer period, and timber production. The techniques presented take into account property characteristics, agronomic factors, economic and social. Besides the technical gains, properties with integrated activities contribute to sustainable production and social welfare in the agricultural environment, since no protection to environmental resources such as water, soil organisms beneficial macrobiotic, insects, other organisms that act as natural enemies, among others. Additionally, the activities enable more efficient use of resources the landowner, mostly hand labor. Are presents recent research results that prove the positives points, as well as technical details about the organisms studied and future management systems, implementing and maintaining of this technology.
