Constraining variations of the fine-structure constant with Planck

摘要
In this brief paper we present the first cosmological constraints on the fine-structure constant based on Planck measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature and lensing-potential power spectra. Planck data can fix the value of the fine-structure constant with extreme good precision at the epoch of recombination at redshift z approximate to 1100 with respect to the previuos experiments.
