The Attenuation Of High Energy Hadrons In Iron

摘要
The attenuation lengths of hadron fluxes with visible energy higher than 4 TeV have been observed in thick type iron emulsion chambers of high detecting efficiency for hadrons exposed at Mt. Kanbala. Uncorrelated hadrons as well as hadrons in family events with visible energies above 500 TeV and those in the energy range of 30 to 500 TeV ale measured. Preliminary results indicate that the attenuation lengths of hadrons in iron in these three cases are different. A brief discussion is given.
