摘要
Mossbauer spectra, X-ray diffraction and magnetic susceptibility measurements on Ti/sub 0.99//sup 57/Fe/sub 0.01/O/sub 2/ are carried out in order to examine the magnetic properties and separated contribution of the ferromagnetic and paramagnetic phases to the magnetization. XRD data show that Ti/sub 0.99//sup 57/Fe/sub 0.01/O/sub 2/ has a pure rutile phase with tetragonal structures. Magnetic hysteresis curve at room temperature reveal an obvious ferromagnetic behavior and the magnetic moment per Fe atom under the applied field of 1 T is estimated to be about 0.72/spl mu//sub B/ which suggests a low spin configuration of Fe ions. The coercive field measured results from the magnetic correlation between iron particles instead of that of iron clusters. Mossbauer spectral data obtained consists of a ferromagnetic and a paramagnetic phase from 4 to 300 K. Also, Curie temperature of the system is determined to be 1150 K and the magnetic hyperfine field of the ferromagnetic phase of Ti/sub 0.99//sup 57/Fe/sub 0.01/O/sub 2/ is found to be 500 kOe, which is higher than that of /spl alpha/-Fe.
