Abstract
Quantitative determination of C27 ααα 20R cholestane has been investigated using a deuterated internal standard and combined gas chromatography—mass spectrometry. Low resolution Voltage Selected Ion Recording (VSIR) of a major fragment ion and parent ion have been compared. The new technique of Selected Metastable Ion Monitoring (SMIM) has also been investigated and compared with VSIR results.
