摘要
A new mass-flow calorimetry system has been installed to investigate the excess-power phenomena at elevated temperatures with an increased amount of the sample. Calibration runs using alumina powder has revealed very good stability with very high heat recovery rate. The first trial runs with a silica-included Cu center dot Ni nano-composite sample containing 4 g of Ni mixed with 200 g of Al2O3 showed an anomalous increase in temperature of the sample, which could imply a long-lasting excess power of 5 W/g-Ni.
