It is one of the important means to conduct reservoir prediction. However, it is usually difficult to establish quantitative relationship between seismic amplitude attribute and the sandstone thickness, and using horizon slice amplitude to predict sandstone thickness can not get a accurate result. In this paper, a seismic attribute extraction method based on objective function was presented, and it is indicated that the accuracy of reservoir prediction by using seismic attribute was improved. The technology was applied for the reservoir prediction of SIII4+5 layer in BB2 block of Daqing Changyuan oilfield, and good results were obtained.
