Analysis of Smartphone-Based Location Information

Location information is an important factor for figuring out user’s behavior in digital forensic investigations. Smartphone-based map applications keep record user’s data about location information such as timestamp, GPS information for searched locations. In this paper, we will analyze data generated by famous map applications–Google map, Daum map, Naver map and extract necessary information to assist digital forensic investigations.
