Abstract
Metallic glasses can now be elaborated in bulk shape and not only in ribbons. Consequently, due to their mechanical properties, they are attractive materials for structural components. In this framework, thermoforming of metallic glasses has recently received increasing attention. Indeed, thermoforming is well adapted for producing small sized components with complex shapes and good dimension accuracy. The processing conditions must correspond to the optimal rheology associated with the glass deformation but also preserve the amorphous structure of the alloy during the process. Finally, high temperature forming can also be used as a way of elaboration of multimaterials associating metallic glasses and conventional metallic alloys.
