Abstract
This paper studies the revenue-sharing contract in a supply chain model with revenues determined by each retailer's price and services investment. Our model includes the case of a supplier selling a common product to two independent retailers, who compete in service investment for customers. We find that revenue-sharing contract can coordinates the supply chain, but with limitations. We demonstrate that the supply chain will be perfectly coordinated with revenue-sharing and cost-sharing contracts.
