COMPARISON OF LANDSLIDE HAZARDS BETWEEN HONG KONG AND CHONGQING

Hong Kong and Chongqing are located at hill area, and both of them have the characteristics with different kinds of works constructed on slopes. Landslides often occur in these cities, which causes heavy losses of life and property. In this paper the geological conditions, geotechnical characteristics and features of slope failures are analyzed, and the comparison of landslide hazards between the two cities is made, which would be heplful to the study of landslide hazards between Hong Kong and Mainland of China.
