However, sometimes low‐cut filtering in RT domain is not satisfactory in the coherent noise attenuation. In this paper, we present a method for coherent noise attenuation by combining RTT and plane‐wave construction (PWC) operator. We first use RTT and low‐cut filtering to obtain the initially separated model of coherent noise, and then use PWC to adaptively suppress it. The combination of the two can obtain better result in preserving their amplitudes. Results of synthetic and field‐data examples show that, compared with other methods, this method is more effective in coherent noise attenuation.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.3603605FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Beijing 2009 International Geophysical Conference and Exposition, Beijing, China, 24–27 April 2009ISBN (print):978-1-56080-284-6ISSN (online):2159-6832Copyright: 2009 Pages: publication data© 2009 Copyright © 2009 Society of Exploration Geophysicists and China Petroleum SocietyPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished: 28 Jun 2011 CITATION INFORMATION Guochang Liu, Xiaohong Chen, Jing Du, and Yang Liu, (2009), "Coherent noise attenuation using radial trace transform and plane‐wave construction," SEG Global Meeting Abstracts : 80-80. https://doi.org/10.1190/1.3603605 Plain-Language Summary PDF DownloadLoading ...
