From Chemical to Biological Organization: A Snapshot

I am delighted to be here this evening, Benno, to join you in celebrating your 65th birthday. From your many students, collaborators and friends here and abroad I bring you greetings and good wishes for continued good health, happiness and success in your work. At the Symposium held in your honor, we devoted many hours to stimulating discussion on the scientific topics closest to your heart. This is the way that we as scientists can best pay tribute to a colleague for whom we have the highest regard, both as a scientist and as a human being.
