Infiltrating Lipoma Arising in the Rhomboid Muscle of a Child. A Case Report.

We report a rare case of infiltrating lipoma (intramuscular lipoma) arising in the rhomboid muscle of a child.Echography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging were used to diagnose and evaluate the localization of this tumor.This case (infiltrating lipoma) was histologically shown to be a benign tumor, but as the tumor size was increasing and we suspected functional disturbance, we decided to treat it surgically.Wide resection including removal of some normal tissue must be recommended to prevent local recurrence in this case.
