From a polyoxotitanium cage to TiO2/C composites, a novel strategy for nanoporous materials

A novel strategy to obtain nanoporous titania materials through polyoxotitanium (POT) cages has been developed. Mesoporous and hierarchical nanoporous TiO2/carbon composites have been fabricated from a new POT cage precursor [Ti2O(OAc)(2)(HOAc)(2)Cl-4], and the electrochemical behaviors of these composites are studied.
