Lipophilicity Study of New Selenazole Derivatives by RP-HPLC

Using RP-HPLC and a methanol-water mixture as mobile phase, 17 newly synthetized 17 selenazole derivatives were studied. The linear correlation between k(w) and methanol/water ratios showed high values, for the correlation coefficient R-2. The chromatographic hydrophobic index phi(0) was determined by using intercept and slope, the obtained values ranging between 42 and 100. A good linear correlation was obtained between log k(w) and slope. The log P values were calculated using database (Toronto, Canada). 7he matrices were formed with log k(w) and calculate diverse log namely lipophilicity descriptors and were subject to principal component analysis (PCA). The best way to extract information from PCA was graphically, by plotting the obtained matrices. By analyzing the scores, the compounds can be grouped
