6: Natural orifice sacral colpopexy

Sacral colpopexy is a time-honored gold standard technique for correction of apical vaginal prolapse. A successful vaginal approach has been hampered by the perception that the retroperitoneal dissection to the sacrum is difficult and fraught with danger. A technique is demonstrated for safely performing a natural orifice sacral colpopexy. Advantages are enumerated.
